Thought I’d give a little background to this pic. The dowels are some in-progress designs for our Painted Paddles. And I’d also like to draw your attention to the loon. Loons have a special place in our hearts at Sanborn. Being the state bird of our home state of Minnesota we will always cherish their haunting calls while out on a wilderness trip. Sweet memories. And this particular loon was carved and painted by our Grandpa Zak. In his garage woodshop was born the idea and dream for starting Sanborn. Thanks grandpa!
